B & L’s wedding was rainbow flowers, peacock feathers, a best man brother, YouTube fashion advice, an ecstatic bride, a backyard ceremony, lake side laughter, Nelson landmarks, heartfelt speeches, monogrammed shotski’s, wedding party keg stands, colourful cupcakes and true love.

Marleah and Chad are two of the most honest-to-goodness caring people and are a true pleasure to get to know, as anyone can see by the love that their family and friends hold for them. Their wedding day was overflowing with kind deeds, smiles and laughter as the final details (the maid of honour’s dress!) were magically pulled together just in time. The ceremony reflected the true blue romantic love these two have for each other, and had a feature moment for their darling Dexter, the fuzziest ring-bearer I’ve ever seen. With seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen, posing was a party, and they were troopers the whole way to the pub. Congratulations Marleah and Chad, you two are so obviously perfect for one another.

Nelson band Tofu Stravinsky opened the show at The Royal on January 31st. Their sound is both smooth and gritty, like a wave washing pebbles up the shore. If you are in the mood for a soul-rocking shimmy and sway, check out their CD Release Party at The Royal on Baker, February 28th.

Carlene and Chris’ wedding in Rossland, BC was straight out of a fairytale. Despite some minor construction interruptions, the ceremony was a tearjerker, and was held in a gorgeously antique building in downtown Rossland. After posing the impeccably dressed wedding party around the building, we hit up a local baseball diamond for some fun shots with the groomsmen. The party made their way up to Red Mountain Resort, which was fully trussed up in vintage décor, complete with a tower of cupcakes and a rich red cake. The entire day was fun, happy and ridiculously good looking – congratulations Carlene & Chris.

Gabi + Tom’s wedding was held at the beautiful Okanagan valley resort, Sparkling Hill. The epic 360° views from the floor to ceiling windows and multi-story hanging crystals gave their intimate country style wedding a modern kick.
A tender hearted, quietly passionate couple, Gabi and Tom hold a lot of love in their hearts for each other and their family and friends, which was increasingly evident throughout their wedding day.
The wedding and reception were decorated with delicate pink flowers, pine cones and love birds, creating a cozy but chic atmosphere for the celebrations.
