Everything was in glorious abundance at this red mountain wedding: family+ friends, laughter + tears, champagne + feasts, cupcakes + flowers, So. Much. Love. You can see it all in that blue jean bride and her skinny tie love dancing the night away.
I couldn’t help but to share way too many photos. Stop-motion video to follow.

Lauren and Casey both grew up in Rossland, BC and there could be no more perfect a backdrop for their engagement session and wedding (coming soon)! These two are completely adorable (see below) and we can’t wait for their wedding in just a couple short weeks!
Geri and Brent got married one rainy day in May. Everyone dressed in their 1920s finest. They loved, they laughed, they ate, they danced. And, the end of the night saw Geri and Brent holding hands on the edge of the moon.

Meet Robyn and Ryan.
They are a too-cute-for-words kind of couple. It was supposed to thunderstorm on the day of their shoot. Fortunately, the spring weather at Kokanee Creek Park held out. From sly looks and whispered inside jokes to peaceful moments and tender kisses these two were naturals in front of the camera.
Geri and Brent met in middle school and now they’re gettin’ hitched. How sweet is that?
I met up with these two at their acreage between Nelson and Castlegar, BC. Geri, Brent and their sidekick Jake confess to a fair amount of nerdiness, and their backyard is seriously a scene straight out of the Walking Dead.
But all silliness aside (…well, maybe not ALL silliness), this couple is ridiculously cute. After some backyard shenanigans, we took a reminiscent road trip to Kinnaird Middle School where they first met, then took Jake on his usual walking route down along the Columbia River. Who would’ve guessed we’d stumble across the TARDIS here in our little corner of the Kootenays???
These two, with their classic good looks, preferred a more traditional style to their portraits. On day two of my time with Blair and Bryan, we visited the vistas and parks along Okanagan Lake outside of Kelowna, BC. A lovely summer afternoon with some beautiful views suited this couple’s quiet love perfectly.
Highlights from part two of L&R’s gorgeous beachfront wedding include: true love, a beautiful Blaylock’s Mansion bicycle ride, peachy décor, barefoot beaching, extremely colourful (and delicious) salads, serenaded speeches, group toasts and a very happy-ever-after bride & groom.

I was extremely lucky to spend time with Blair & Bryan two days in a row for their Okanagan wedding this summer. These two were married on the Eldorado boardwalk on a stormy August afternoon. The rain threatened, but stayed away, and the clouds made for some fabulous lighting. After a beautifully blustery ceremony, I spent some time with the couple and their wedding party along the boardwalk and parks of Kelowna’s Okanagan Lake before heading back to the hotel for an intimate reception as the sun set over the Eldorado. Images from Day Two’s photo session to follow.
L & R masterfully combined an amazing beachfront property, a gorgeous wedding party and all of their loved ones to create THE perfect day that was the highlight of this Kootenay summer. After an emotional first look, L’s father canoed her to her groom patiently waiting barefoot in the sand. Surrounded by friends and family these two said their “I do’s” and took off down the streets of Nelson, BC in a gleaming Gran Torino. Part two to follow.

I was lucky enough to spend a couple hours with Maddie and Josh and snap some portraits on their August wedding day in Nelson, BC. These two are not only gorgeous, but they’re kind, fun, laid-back, and completely perfect for each other. As Nelson is Maddie’s home town, we visited scenic Gyro park, a beautifully grungy brick alley, the Prestige lakeside walkway and romantic garden gazebo to capture the essence of this Kootenay town. Thanks so much for having me as a part of your day – I wish you two all the best!
