When Al and Syd contacted me this winter about photographing their wedding I was ecstatic! These two are such an infectiously happy and calm couple – who better to shoot my first wedding with?

On the wedding day it was gorgeously sunny in Silverton, BC. The ceremony was held on the shores of Slocan Lake at Syd’s family cabin and officiated by Syd’s brother. Although the wedding party consisted of six ring-bearers and three flower girls, it went off without a hitch! The ceremony was interspersed with romantic Shakespeare readings and love songs performed by friends.

The reception was decorated with vintage rock and roll style printed goods, rustic candle-lit mason jar centerpieces and home grown flowers. Guests completed mad-libs for the couple, shot polaroid pictures for the guest book and danced the night away.
