Meg and Jere are complete goofballs. They had a fabulously kitschy hunting and heavy metal themed wedding to join their two families in Meadow Creek, BC. It was hot – SO HOT – that day, but we cooled off deep in the forest exploring a graffitied marble quarry. I will never get enough of adventuring with my amazing couples. These true Koot weddings are so much fun! Thanks for another awesome day you two, and of course a huge thank you to my sidekick Brynne Herbison who shoots every wedding by my side.

Sandy and Chris were married on a Wednesday. The same date as their first “wedding” almost a decade ago surrounded by friends as April Wine played the Naksup Music Fest. This second wedding had them surrounded by even more friends and their large loving family. Here’s to Team Brodman!

Meet A and B. These sweethearts are getting married this summer. We visited her parents’ gorgeous garden. Then they kicked off their shoes for a dip in the Columbia, just like true Kootenay kids.

This amazing couple married on a beautiful day at their family’s summer home on the East Shore of Kootenay Lake. Wow, what a view! Their intimate wedding was attended by 20 of their closest family and friends, and was followed by a leisurely afternoon yacht ride in to Nelson for dinner at Louie’s Steakhouse. From beginning to end this was just the loveliest day and it was such a pleasure to be able to share it.

Ashley and Chance had their dream wedding at Blaylock’s Mansion this summer. The intimate affair was attended by 25 of their closest friends and family. And of course their “furry baby”, Sam. The day was filled with hundreds of goofy jokes to keep the tears away, a VERY happy bride, “classy and sassy” champagne toasts, a VERY patient wedding party, grandma and grandpa’s homemade wine, a VERY delicious BBQ dinner reception at Toad Rock, and topped off with possibly the most romantic, fun and adorable first dance I have ever seen. You two are so awesome, keep on lettin’ those good times roll.
